Organization
behavior (OB) is defined as the systematic study and application of knowledge
about individuals and groups act within the organization where they work. This is important because it tells us about
something and what it is. Those who study organization behavior-which now
includes you are interested in several outcomes such as work attitudes as well
as job performance. The Organizational
Behavior also really good to learn because it is all about things we care about
such as communications skills (Verbal or written), Honesty/integrity,
Interpersonal skills, Motivation/initiative and Strong work ethic. The
important thing to keep in mind is that the more tools and skills you have, the
higher the quality of your interactions with others will be and the more
valuable you will become to organizations.
It
is not surprising that the greater level of education you have, the more money
you will make. I have learnt that Organization behavior help to know who we are
and how important to have the skills in which the organizations value and pay
for it. The
understanding Organization behavior can help you to better understand what
workplace would actually be good for you and also it could help you understand
whether a given firm's culture would really be compatible with your attitudes
and your personality as job seekers. It
could help you enhance your chances of getting hired after you have identified
the place where you would want to work. It could, for example, help you
to know what attributes of yours you should stress when interviewing because it
could help you understand what people at that firm would want the person they
hire to be like. After reading my paper, I have seen
different cultures and class distinction; age and gender all play a huge part in
understanding people in the workplace.
Also, it is a good understanding of the human relationship in the
organization or in a group. We review the strengths and weaknesses of five
popular research designs: case studies, field surveys, laboratory experiments,
field experiments, and aggregate quantitative. The primary source of
information occasionally backed up by interviews and a review of records and
documents. The four research design typically provides the most valid and
generalizable findings and, except for its high cost, trades off the least to
get the most. Overall, organizational behavior
is concerned with developing more effective organizations.
Therefore, the main goals of this field are to describe,
predict, understand, and maintain human behavior. That’s why the study of
organizational behavior focuses upon the human side of work and performance in
organizations. Organizational behavior, as
a field of scientific study, looks at the human side of organizations by
analyzing the three levels, or components, of importance: individuals, groups,
and organizations. Each of these levels helps to form the total system used in
organizational behavior for describing, predicting, understanding, and
maintaining human actions in organizations. In fact, organizational behavior
allows us to understand how these elements are interrelated and how monumental
works and performance are accomplished.
Today,
organization behavior utilizes the scientific method to provide evidence based
studies of organizations, concepts, and theories. This research based on specific criteria
allows us to better understand individual, group, and organizational behaviors.
Therefore, organizational behavior is interdisciplinary, meaning that it
derives its theories and knowledge from several sources. These include
psychology, sociology, management, business, education, communications,
anthropology, political sciences, and other social sciences.
Great Work!!!
